Preaching
Unless preaching is Christ-centered, it is not biblical preaching. Too often preaching is man-centered, and lacks the biblical focus of Christ, and thus misses the entire point. Preaching merely to the "felt needs" of the people is sinful because it never adequately reveals the glory of Christ, and therefore, it falls short of the glory of God.
The Centrality of the Cross
Any gospel that talks merely of the Christ-event, meaning the Incarnation without the atonement, is a false gospel. Any gospel that talks about the love of God without pointing out that his love led him to pay the ultimate price for sin in the person of his Son on the cross is a false gospel.
